The Western Area Builders Association (WABA) is pleased to announce our regional Builder of the Year awardee Drew Niskanen has been nominated for 2025 Builder of the Year at the state level with the North Dakota Association of Builders (NDAB).
WABA’s Builder of the Year, Associate of the Year and Affiliate of the Year award winners are all selected based on each nominee’s involvement in the local builder association, good business practices, service to clients, participation in civic and service clubs, charitable activities, promotion of the building trades to the public and other criteria. The annual BEAM award recognizes a builder or local entity that exemplifies the vitally important teamwork that occurs between builders and supporting organizations such as utilities, insurance companies, real estate brokerages, tradesmen and others in the building industry.
WABA represents building trades professionals from Williams, Divide, McKenzie, Mountrail and Burke counties. Award winners from this region include Drew Niskanen, Niskanen Construction, for Builder of the Year; Mark Schneider, City of Williston Development Services, for Associate of the Year; and Sherisa Cauthen, Realty ONE Group Caliber for Affiliate of the Year. James Williams of Williston Homes was awarded the annual BEAM Award. All these residential home professionals are nominated at the state level, as well, and will be honored with other builders at a banquet on November 3 in Minot, North Dakota.
