Williston, ND- North Dakota Association of Builders (NDAB) hosted their Annual Banquet on November 12. Local builder association representatives from across the state and members of the public gathered to reflect on 2024 at McCody Concrete in Williston, ND.
“The NDAB Annual Banquet is a time for our members to celebrate the year, our award winners, and install our incoming president and board of directors. We reflect on what the association and our members have accomplished in the past year and look towards the future of NDAB,” commented NDAB Chief Executive Officer Brittney Roehrich. “Thank you to our members and staff who took the time to travel to Williston for this important event.”
Local builder associations and members of NDAB include Western Area Builders Association (WABA) based in Williston, Bismarck-Mandan Home Builders Association, Building Industry Association of the Red River Valley, Dickinson Area Home Builders Association, Forx Builders Association (Grand Forks) and Minot Association of Builders.
The catered event featured remarks from National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Chairman of the Board Carl Harris and a recognition ceremony for Builder of the Year, among other awards. Bob Horab, owner of McCody Concrete, was sworn in as the incoming NDAB Board President for 2025.
McCody Concrete is a diversified concrete products and construction services company owned by Bob Horab. The company serves northwestern North Dakota, eastern Montana and Wyoming. Bob is a founding member of WABA (2009) and a Past President of both the NDAB and WABA board of directors. He serves on the board of the North Dakota Ready Mix Association, the design review board, and the planning & zoning board for the City of Williston.
NDAB represents the professional building industry through legislation, information and education. In addition to working with state legislators and their Congressional delegation in Washington DC to promote and protect the building industry, NDAB also closely monitors and provides input on code and regulatory issues to help ensure workable codes are in place for trades professionals.
The Western Area Builders Association (WABA) is a professional trade association in partnership with and chartered by the North Dakota Association of Builders (NDAB) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This association serves members in Burke, Divide, McKenzie, Mountrail and Williams Counties. Membership in the association promotes professionalism within the building and construction industry, educational and safety opportunities, the exchange of ideas, and community leadership.
